The last stop on the GTI tour of SKEMA campuses was in Sophia Antipolis, which is located near the French Riviera. The weather here is much more pleasant than in the north, and it’s easy to see why this is a popular destination for tourists and students alike.
The campus near nice includes many classrooms and student lodging and cafeteria’s nearby. It is located in a technology park that is similar to RTP. The presentations to the students at the Sophia Antipolis campus, as well as a videoconference with the students currently studying in the Suzhou, China campus, round out the week of pre-departure orientations for the students who will be arriving in Raleigh in about 5 weeks time.
The GTI is excited about welcome all the new and returning students to the NC State campus. See you in January!
The next stop on the GTI “Tour de France” was the Lille campus, which is conveniently located by the train station and only an hour away via TGV from Paris.
There will be 100+ students from the Lille campus coming to Raleigh in January. We provided a lot of information about how to get connected at NC State and helped prepare them to join the Wolfpack in a few weeks.
Welcome to Paris!
The GTI is traveling to the SKEMA campuses throughout France to conduct pre-departure orientations for the hundreds of students who will be studying at the Raleigh campus located at NC State University in the spring.
There will be 500+ SKEMA students in Raleigh for the Spring 2015 semester. Around 60 of them will be coming from the SKEMA Paris campus, which is located in La Défense (a major business district of the Paris Metropolitan Area).
